QUIET BEFORE THE STORM

 {Via}

There's an ominous storm heading straight for the North East.  Afro-Punk musical festival set to take place is Brooklyn, NY this weekend has been cancelled indefinitely and we're shut up in our houses awaiting hurricane Irene.  Batten down the hatches, get out the chocolate chip cookies, movies, and flashlights. We'll be taking cover until at least Monday. No complaints here.

Vivienne Westwood, punk turned fashion designer, remaining punk at heart. I've always looked up to her as one of my fashion icons.

TEMPTING TUESDAY

 {Via}

To bad these glasses are like a million bucks. Well not really, but in poor peoples world, that's where we dwell, they might as well be equivalent to a million bazillion bucks. Window shopping 101.

FLASHBACK FRIDAY

 The Craft, yet another 90's cult classic. Totally one of those movies that freaked me out to no end as a kid. But it was so good I always forced myself to watch it all the way through everytime. A film that's eerie and badass all in the same breath. What's not to love?

SUMMER CLEANING

Summer cleaning leads to some pretty wonderful things, in this case I found some great photos in the recesses of my overloaded laptop.
Enjoy

CURRENT CRUSH

{Via}

Paul Van Haver, better known as Stromae is a young hip/hop-electronic musician of Belgium/Rwandan decent. Such a face I have never seen. His features are absolutely stiking and his musics pretty catchy too, it helps that he sings in French.

TEMPTING TUESDAY

I've always been really into men's wear. And lately I've been drooling over everything at Topman for the Fall. More specifically, I've had my eye on this bad boy of a sweater. How dope is this?? And it's on SALE. Done and done.

MUSE MONDAY

Shahidah Omar
{Via}

Shahida Omar is an amazing underground rock star soon to be legend.  The first time I saw her in concert was on a small stage at Bonaroo in Tenesse.  She completely captivated the audience and lured the unsuspecting passer by in with her post-pop, operatic-rock melodies. I was brought to tears
when she sang, "Stop the War".
If you're wondering what to do with your monday night invest in the artist Shahida Omar.
